Inspiring primary school students from across the country walked
the green carpet today at the annual Green
Lane Diary Awards, hosted by the Queensland Museum, when they
were celebrated for their innovative sustainable living actions and
projects.
Now in its third year, the revolutionary Green Lane Diary
project has tripled in size since it was launched with 40,000
students registered to participate this year. Also available as an
iPad magazine, the Green Lane Diary is a free, curriculum-aligned
project run by humanitarian environment group Green Cross Australia
that aims to inspire children to take small actions in their lives
and communities to make a difference.
Hosted by the Hon Peter Garrett, Minister for School Education,
Early Childhood and Youth, and Eco Owl, a high-fiving puppet,
students and classes were recognised for their outstanding
achievements in the action-packed event

were involved in the 2012 Green Lane Diary program. We
encourage you to continue with your programs and keep in contact
